PINS/WATERJET automatic nesting system pulls part geometries from users'CAD systems to generate dynamic, random-part nests and appropriate NCcode for waterjet-based cutting systems. It incorporates algorithms andfeatures that delivers optimum machine tool throughput and substantialmaterial savings. The system automatically nests multiple parts in holesand calculates kerf-compensation for processing common flat stockmaterials, and for nontraditional or exotic materials such as foam,composites, and titanium.Modular structure and optional software let users build a highlyintegrated manufacturing system. Software options supply native-mode CADinterfaces; IGES and DXF graphics translation; automatic materialloading and unloading systems; MRP and DNC interfaces; plotting andlabeling devices; shop floor control; and job tracking systems. Optionsinclude inventory and remnant control software, post-processors, NC tapetranslation capability, and custom integration services.
